LOCAL/STATE/FEDERAL
The mission of the Rocky Mountain ADA Center is simply to provide information on the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) to individuals and organizations throughout Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council
The Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council advocates in collaboration with and on behalf of people with developmental disabilities for the establishment and implementation of public policy which will further their independence, productivity, and integration.
The ADA is one of America’s most comprehensive pieces of civil rights legislation that prohibits discrimination and guarantees that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else to participate in the mainstream of American life.
Eastern Colorado Services for the Developmentally Disabled is a community centered board serving intellectual/developmentally disabled persons in ten rural counties covering 17,514 square miles.
Colorado Programs for Individuals with Physical or Developmental Disabilities
State resource that provides a list of programs available to children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities.
National Council on Disability
NCD is an independent federal agency charged with advising the President, Congress, and other federal agencies regarding policies, programs, practices, and procedures that affect people with disabilities.
Colorado NEMT provides Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and Mileage Reimbursement to eligible customers under Colorado’s Medicaid Program.
FINANCIAL RESOURCES
Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) is public low-cost health insurance for certain children and pregnant women. It is for people who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to pay for private health insurance.
Medicaid Buy-In Program for Children with Disabilities
The Medicaid Buy-In Program for Children with Disabilities lets families of children with a disability who qualify to ‘buy-into’ Colorado Medicaid for that child.
Children With Life Limiting Illness Waiver (CLLI)
The CLLI program provides Medicaid benefits in the home for children with a life limiting illness. This waiver allows you to seek curative treatment while your child is receiving palliative care.
Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC)
The Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) is Colorado Medicaid’s primary health care program. It is designed to improve your health and help you get the services you need to stay healthy.
Dental services are a program benefit for Colorado Medicaid members of all ages.
Children with Autism Waiver (CWA)
A waiver is an extra set of Medicaid benefits that you could qualify for in certain cases. These benefits can help you remain in your home and community. Waivers have extra program rules and some programs may have waitlists.
This outreach and case management model takes into account that many families have one child enrolled in Medicaid while another is enrolled in CHP+.
Colorado Medicaid is public health insurance for low-income Coloradans who qualify. Colorado Medicaid is funded jointly by a federal-state partnership and is administered by the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing.
Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT)
The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit provides comprehensive and preventive health care services for Medicaid members age 20 and under along with pregnant adults.
Pediatric Personal Care Services
The Pediatric Personal Care Benefit helps Colorado Medicaid (Medicaid) members 20 years old and younger with in-home, non-medical support with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and toileting.
Health Insurance Buy-In Program (HIBI)
HIBI is a premium assistance program for Colorado Medicaid clients. It sends monthly payments to you for all or a portion of the cost of your commercial health insurance premiums, and in some cases also reimburses you for deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments.
The Colorado School Health Services Program is run by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (Department) and the Colorado Department of Education.
The Presumptive Eligibility (PE) program gives children under 19 and pregnant women temporary Colorado Medicaid or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) medical coverage right away. Your temporary medical coverage lasts for at least 45 days while we process your Medical Assistance application.

Kids Mobility Network is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing children with disabilities with durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and other medical equipment. We operate our organization with caring and integrity.
Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities (CFPD)
The Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities seeks to enhance the independence and quality of life for people who are elderly or disabled and their families.
Some cases of CP are caused by medical negligence and we help parents get in touch with organizations that can help them find financial help for raising their child with CP.
